Mayday Parade have revealed the details of their third and final part of their recent album series, and they are seing things out with a bang.

Titled ‘Sugar’, it’s set for release on July 24. It follows on from last year’s first two parts ‘Sweet’ and ‘Sad’.
The artwork looks like this:

Whilst the tracklisting is a bit more like this:
1. Set Phasers To Bummed
2. Blame It On The Youth
3. Sweet Sad Sugar
4. Weekend Music
5. Lying To Myself
6. Two Hearts
7. Don’t Give Up On Me
8. Patriotism Of First Tiger Called Into Question
9. So The Story Goes
10. What Happens Next
The record features the previously shared track ‘Blame It On The Youth’, but also the just dropped ‘Weekend Music’. A quintessential piece of romantic, nostalgic and really lovely pop-rock, with key changes and earnest chords aplenty, it’s everything that continues to make Mayday such a pivotal cornerstone of the scene. Even after all these years, they still manage to pull on the heartstrings.
Vocalist Derek Sanders had this to say about the song, stating, “When we began working on Sugar – part three of a three album release – I started to get concerned that we had overextended ourselves. That the good ideas had run dry and needed more time to replenish. ‘Weekend Music’ is one of the songs that came together and put me at ease, it has the catchiness and complexity that I was looking for. It feels good to be able to create a song that we’re proud of so deep into our career.”
