Lacuna Coil is now streaming their rework of the 2002 single “Swamped” named “Swamped XX.” The new version is from the coming Comalies XX project, which as you might’ve guessed is an entirely reworked version of the band’s Comalies record. As Lacuna Coil vocalist Cristina Scabbia points out, Comalies XX isn’t just a re-recording of the album, but an entire reimagining of the original songs to fit their 2022 sound.

“This is not a reboot or a spin-off or anything like that,” said Scabbia. “We just wanted to give these songs a 2022 dress and see how this guy or girl who was born 20 years ago would still look fucking slick in 2022.”
