David Lee Roth is now streaming what he’s dubbed the “studio live” version of Van Halen‘s “Panama.” The track was posted to Roth‘s YouTube page on September 1 and, much like many other things from Roth, is mysterious as hell. It’s not currently clear who played on this version of “Panama” or when it’s from, though it certainly sounds like it’s either an alternate take instrumentally or re-recorded entirely.

Roth recently released one of his songs with John 5, so maybe it’s from those sessions? We’ll update this post as more information becomes available.
