Linkin Park are set to deliver their previously-unreleased ‘Friendly Fire’ track, featuring Chester Bennington’s vocals.
The track was taken from the band’s 2017 ‘One More Light’ sessions, which was Linkin Park’s final full-length album prior to Chester’s death and the band’s subsequent hiatus.
‘One More Light’ was also the first Linkin Park album to have a title track.
The new track ‘Friendly Fire’ was reportedly written by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and songwriter and producer Jon Green.
News of its arrival has been shared via a snippet on Link Park’s socials – have a listen to the clip below, in which Chester’s vocals ask, “what are we fighting for? / It’s just friendly fire…”.
Mike Shinoda was recently unveiled as the very first winner of Rock Sound’s 25 Icons Awards, with his work via Linkin Park, Fort Minor and more recent solo ventures having become the soundtrack to many lives through this magazine’s 25-year history.
To celebrate, we released an exclusive magazine with a career-spanning interview that captures it all, along with deluxe A4 photo prints.
