Van Halen Furious After Foo Fighters Controversy

Wolfgang Van Halen recently responded to Eddie Trunk. The latter sent out a Tweet saying regarding Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins tribute show: “All the Taylor Hawkins tribute stuff looks amazing and well deserved. But every @VanHalen has to be trying to figure out how two massive events in 2 countries could come together in months for Taylor, and almost 2 years after @eddievanhalen passed nothing..”

Wolfgang Van Halen wrote: “It’s not my job to help you people deal with my dad dying. If I can even begin to try and collect myself during all the immature harassment from these type of passive aggressive arguments and insults for the past two years, then you can figure it out too. I’m just so done.”

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins shockingly passed away at the age of 50. The band was due to play on the same day of his death. The Foos were scheduled to play at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia. This led to the band canceling the rest of their South American tour. Recently,a video clip surfaced on the internet which saw Red Hot Chili Peppers paying subtle tribute to Hawkins. Foo Fighters fans are thrilled after the band frontman Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet Grohl made announcement about the tribute concert.

The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon—his bandmates. The all-star rock and roll shows will take place September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and September 27 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. As a member of Foo Fighters, Taylor was a 15-time GRAMMY Award winner and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
