Split Chain have revealed that they have put together a new version of their debut album ‘motionblur’, featuring a whole host of special guests.

‘motionblur’ [DELUXE] will be released on September 11 via Epitaph, and will feature every track from the record rework with guest appearance from a band or artists that Split Chain adore.
The band had this to say about the project:
“We get that everyone interprets music in their own way, and so we invited a bunch of mates to feature across the album, so that we could hear their individual interpretations of the songs. It came out so much better than we could have even hoped, and we truly believe the work and energy that every person has done on every song is incredible. The cast of names on this version on this album is sick, and we know people are gonna love it just as much as we do. We’re so incredibly grateful to every single artist that has helped the deluxe become a reality and we genuinely can’t wait to hear what everybody thinks.”

Whilst the new artwork for the record looks like this:

You can also hear two of the new DLX tracks right, being ‘SPIT’ which features False Reality’s Rachel Rigby and ‘Headway’ which features Roman Candle’s Piper Ferrari.
The band had this to add about what both bring to the table, stating, “Asking both Piper and Rachel to feature on these songs was an absolute no brainer for us. We’re all such big fans of what they do in their own bands and we were so excited to see how they would interpret these songs. Not only that, but being able to have features from bands in both the US and UK scene is so sick.
They both have such distinctive, dynamic and incredible voices and hearing how their own natural flair sits so well in these songs is legitimately insane. They’ve genuinely done the songs incredible amounts of justice, and their unique takes on each have really elevated the songs to a point where they now sit comfortably as their definitive versions. We couldn’t be happier with how the songs have turned out and we’re so excited to be able to tour with them in September.”
As the band mentioned, they will be touring with both bands as support later this year. Here are the dates you need to know:
