Atop Rock for People‘s ferris wheel, you can see all eight stages, some covered by circus-style tents, others boasted in fields surrounding old Soviet airfield bunkers. The town of Hradec Králové is best known for producing musical instruments – and it tracks that one of the biggest music festivals in the Czech Republic would take place in a small town with such history.

From as early as 11:15am, you can catch live music on any of the smaller stages. You can wander amidst conferences and conversations about important issues if you need something to charge your brain, or the fashion area and catch a fashion show to ease your way into the day. If people aren’t quite your thing first thing in the morning, grab some grub at one of dozens of food trucks to fuel up for those early-afternoon sets. It’s a different world at Rock for People.

For five days, only this year to celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary, Rock for People will amaze and rage. And while metal and rock are the primary genres at the festivals, it features both international and local bands that offer a variety within the alternative sphere.

It’s just over three weeks until Rock for People kicks off for the 30th year in a row. Expecting a record amount of attendees, this year is gonna be big.
