Hey, remember when Kiss made a whole big deal about their End Of The Road tour and started plotting the next phase of the band via avatars? As it turns out, that next phase could also include a one-off show. Not that there are specific plans for one, but Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley isn’t opposed to doing one either.
In an interview with the Daily Times, Stanley said about a potential one-off show: “Anything’s possible. Kiss is so far from over, though Kiss as we know it is done. But having our hands and our ideas and our fingers in what Kiss continues as makes all the sense in the world. So, I look forward to whatever comes next without knowing what comes next. But I’m open to it all.”
And yeah, I know. Kiss said they were done with touring and not specifically playing one-off shows or anything like that. Semantics are a real pain in the ass like that. But I’ll say what I’ve said about all the other bands that have played their “final” shows over the years, about Kiss – don’t sell your fans on something being the “final” version of the thing when it might not be.
This isn’t too surprising an opinion either, given Stanley‘s 2023 stance on the whole thinh: “”So, will we do more shows or one-offs? I really have no idea. But this is a real clear mindset that the touring days and doing those kind of shows, that’s over.” If they go out and play a show as Piss, at least it’ll be funny.
