Today, Cambridgeshire alt-metal band HRTLSS have released their new EP, “The Devil On My Shoulder”, alongside a single and music video of the same name. On the ambitious EP, the band unravel four interconnected stories, blending genres and creating a sound all their own.

Speaking of the new single, the band shared,“This track is about never taking accountability for your own actions and blaming negative behaviour on anyone and anything but yourself. There’s also a real loneliness that comes with that mindset, particularly when you’re struggling with anxiety and depression and start to feel like nobody understands or is there for you. That even stretches to things that are completely out of other people’s control, like the chorus line, ‘where were you when the walls caved in?’, as if your mental health is someone else’s responsibility. Overall, it’s about crying wolf at your own actions, while feeling completely alone in the process.”
