Death Lens have announced their new album ‘Cold World’, set for release on May 03 via Epitaph Records.
The new LP will mark the Los Angeles alt-punk band’s fourth album, and will be the follow-up to 2022’s ‘No Luck’.
It will bear the same explosive energy as the five-piece’s previous records, and as the band have explained of its themes:
“‘Cold World’ just seemed to fit in the days we’re living.
“It’s the desire to thrive in a deteriorating world all while pushing those who feel like there is no hope and hoping to give them a second wind, a sense of hope.”
To mark the news of the forthcoming project, the band have shared a brilliantly wild and surrealist music video for the album’s title track – which you can check out below.
Taking on the world’s present social injustices and global unrest through vocalist Bryan Torres’ lyrics, the new record is said to be a reminder that whilst Death Lens faced many risks in their adventures as a band, they’ve chosen to strive to be a light for their communities, their fans and each other.
Speaking more about this, Torres has added:
“We’re all unified in the way we think, we all believe in a fair system for all to live without struggle and with a reasonable cost of living.
“We side strongly with socialist ideals proudly. We’re also very pro Latino and pushing heavier to see more Hispanic bands up on stage, pro LGBTQ, pro-immigration and everything in between.
“One world, one community.”
