Burn Eternal Announce Debut Album ‘Burn Eternal’

Burn Eternal, the new band that reunites Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz with former vocalist Howard Jones, have announced details of their debut album.

The collaboration sees the two joining forces for the first time since Killswitch’s 2009 self-titled album.

‘Burn Eternal’, the record, will be released on February 26 via Metal Blade.

Howard had this to say about getting to release the project with a label such as Metal Blade:

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce Burn Eternal joining forces with Metal Blade for our debut album,.The whole team has been amazing, and we can’t wait to get this music out. From an idea while having lunch in London to a completed album, this has been such a fun way to reconnect with my friend. Burn Eternal lives!”

Whilst Adam added, “I am wicked excited to finally be able to share my project with Howard with all of you! It feels great to be hanging with an old friend and making more music with him. We’re just two goofballs just dicking around in the studio again. We are also excited to be putting it out with the Metal Blade family. Mostly because they truly feel like family, not a corporation. Good vibes abound!”

The artwork looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

1. Wounds I’ve Made
2. No Escape
3. Blackheart
4. To Bear the Cross
5. Scared of Shadows
6. Bitter Pill
7. Learning to Let Go
8. Born Again
9. Fell Silent

And you can check out the first taste of the project in the form of the album’s first song, ‘Wounds I’ve Made’. A sharp, savage and sensationally comforting slice of metalcore brilliance, it rolls back the years as much as it establishes that creative relationships such as this are truly forever.

Howard had this to say about it:

“‘Wounds I’ve Made’ is about both acknowledging mistakes and regrets of the past, while also constantly evolving and moving forward,” says Jones. “Sometimes change hurts, but it’s necessary for self-growth and to avoid being stuck in the past. Some relationships aren’t meant to be.”

Whilst Adam adds:

“We are glad to finally release ‘Wounds I’ve Made.’ It’s crazy to think that this was one of the first songs I wrote for this project… six years ago! I really hope you guys dig it.”
