Guns N’ Roses recently performed at Rock In Rio Festival in Rio, Brazil. They had attended the festival in Brazil four more times before and given unforgettable performances. They returned to the festival stage for another legendary performance, with their core members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, along with the drummer Frank Ferrer, the guitarist Richard Fortus, and Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese on keyboards. The band frontman Axl Rose destroyed a part of the stage during the show.
In the GNR forum, Ratam noted “The Brzilian site Terra compare Axl voice with Billy Idol voice, and no in favourable sense. They threat very hard to Idol and suggest he was drunk. And says that Axl and Idol sung together would be the Apocalypse.”
The band opened the show with ‘It’s So Easy’ and ‘Mr. Browstone,’ and the performance continued with their greatest hits, including ‘Welcome To The Jungle,’ ‘November Rain’ and more. Although the 60-year-old frontman Axl Rose experienced some difficulties on stage at times, his distinctive vocals were still praised.
In his latest tweet, Axl Rose made a statement about their recent performance in Rio. Axl apologized to his fans for coughing while singing. He explained that he did his best to keep his cough from interfering with his lines while performing. He also expressed his sincere thanks to the audience at the concert and sent his love to the enthusiastic crowd.
Here’s what Axl Rose said:
“I want to apologize for being a bit under the weather, thankful not the virus. I tried to keep my cough between lines. Love you. Thank you to the fans and Rock in Rio for everything, and what a f*cking great crowd.”
