Aerosmith Rumored To Return, Who Will Sing?

Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas recently spoke with The New York Post about the band’s possible return. While nothing is confirmed, Douglas said he’s heard rumors and believes the band would love to come back. He explained that the members still want to perform and added that Aerosmith wouldn’t be complete without Steven Tyler. If Tyler is able to sing, Douglas believes he’ll want to return to the stage.

Aerosmith had to cancel their farewell tour after Steven Tyler injured his vocal cords during a show in September 2023 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. What was first thought to be a 30-day recovery turned out to be more serious, and despite medical care and several recovery efforts, the damage forced the band to stop touring.

Because of this, Aerosmith decided to officially retire from touring. Ticketmaster gave automatic refunds to all fans who bought tickets, while those who purchased through third-party sellers had to reach out to them directly.

The band thanked their fans, known as the “Blue Army,” for their support over the years. They encouraged fans to keep enjoying their music, even though they won’t be performing live for now.
