Mystic Festival 2027: Lion’s roar

Mystic Festival 2027: Lion’s roar – British Lion And Others Added To The 2027 Lineup

Blues from the desert, punk straight from the gut, heavy metal, both classic and completely contemporary – John Garcia, Mondo Generator, British Lion, and Dogma joining the lineup for Mystic Festival 2027.

John Garcia (10.06.2027)

The voice of the desert. Can’t be copied, can’t be tamed. As the frontman of Kyuss, he was one of the men behind the sound that saw a way to marry the Sabbath heaviness, psychedelic trips, blues’ depth with punk gravel. In all of his next lives, from going solo through Slo Burn and Unida to Hermano, John Garcia stayed true to himself and his music – music powerful enough to transport you into different time and place by the sheer force of the most primal of emotions.

Mondo Generator (10.06.2027)

One may be tempted to say that Kyuss’s legacy lives on also in the career of Nick Oliveri, the former bass player of that legendary band, but then one would also need to be ignorant of the fact that the Oliveri-led band Mondo Generator has a song titled “Kyuss Dies!”. Truth being told, this music sounds as if Nick wished everyone and their mother ill, himself included – Mondo Generator stands for rage, violence and denial. Heavy punk is something quite brutal on the ears, as it should be.

British Lion (11.06.2027)

This British lion is the king of the metal jungle – Iron Maiden, at whose helm he stands, is one of the biggest and most influential bands of all time. But Steve Harris, the bassist and leader of Maiden, came to a conclusion, decades back, that he’d like to see his fans from up close as well, not just stadium heights. British Lion allows him to stay close both to the people and to the roots of heavy music, as it is a band keeping faith with the hard rock and heavy metal tradition.

Dogma (10.06.2027)

“Nuns Have No Fun” – as Mercyful Fate has once claimed in one of their classic songs. The international line-up of Dogma seems to disagree with that statement. Theirs is a heavy metal tale of femininity and emancipation, told both in the studio – their first, self-titled album caused quite a stir – and on stage as a phenomenal theatrical performance.

Mystic Festival 2027 will take place in Gdansk, Letnica, Poland from June 10 to 12.
