As It Is are back with a brand new full-length, their first featuring their classic line-up in eight years.

‘As It Is’ is scheduled for release on July 17 via FLG. It serves as their first album since 2022’s ‘I WENT TO HELL AND BACK’, but even more specific it is the first work created by Patty Walters, Ben Langford-Biss, Ali Testo and Patrick Foley as a collective since 2018’s ‘The Great Depression’.
The artwork for the record looks a little bit like this.

And the tracklisting is like this:
1. I’m So Alive!
2. Ruin My Life
3. Do You Remember?
4. Marilyn
5. Lightless Sun
6. Watching The World Go Bye
7. Lose Your Way & Find Yourself
8. Last At The Party
9. Turn To Dust
10. If I Ever Lost You
11. What If It All Works Out
12. Not Anymore
Alongside the announcement, the band have also shared a new track. That is ‘Ruin My Life’, a buoyant and autobiographical piece of pop-punk brilliance. Speaking of what it means to allow yourself to fall deeper and deeper into destructive feelings, especially when it concerns the life they have lived within the band, it is a look back at how things were and how they compare to now for the quartet. It’s an open and honest look at what it takes to put your all into your art and the effect it can have on you. It also features the wonderful Murray Macleod from The Xcerts as an extra treat.
Patty Walters had this to say about it, stating, “We’re so excited to share with the world ‘Ruin My Life’, a reckless love song about the band and all we’ve been through together. It’s a celebration of getting back together and a nod to all the mistakes we made along the way. We’re not the only band to have made amazing memories and catastrophic choices in equal measure, but we couldn’t tell the story of our band by omitting either. Without our unbreakable friendship, we wouldn’t have survived, and this song is about the love that got us to the other side of the darkness. We wrote this song with Murray from The Xcerts, so it only felt right to have him with us in the studio and his voice on the recording. We wouldn’t have this song, truly one of our all-time favourites, without him.”
