When Chris Cornell passed away, it was a significant hit to the rock and roll community. The Soundgarden frontman was found dead in his hotel room on May 18, 2017, at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit, Michigan after he performed a show with Soundgarden a day prior. He was found dead by his bodyguard with an exercise band around his neck. His cause of death was ruled a suicide by hanging by the authorities.
Recently, a mural dedicated to Cornell was found vandalized by Xana La Fuente. In the picture posted on Instagram, it can be seen that the portrait was defaced by black paint.
The Instagram user revealed that the Mustache’s Mustache was violated and they speculated that it happened on Sunday, September 4. They were also planning on conducting a photo shoot of Iconic People of Seattle Music, presumably for their Shine Music Project Magazine, but it can’t happen now because of the defacement of the mural. In the comments of the post, they said they could fix it but could get in trouble for it.
It is really unfortunate that a vandal would do something like this to the mural, especially of someone who has passed away recently.
