Ted Nugent Backs Kid Rock, Warns ‘Fat Cats’

Ted Nugent Blasts Ticketmaster in New Post

Ted Nugent has taken aim at Ticketmaster much like Kid Rock in a new social-media post, accusing the ticketing giant of profiting from artists and fans while seeking government action that he claims would strengthen its market power. The rocker’s comments, posted Monday, quickly circulated among followers as the longtime outspoken musician again mixed music-industry criticism with partisan politics.

In his post, Nugent argued that Ticketmaster “corporate fat cats have gotten plenty rich off musicians like me & fans like YOU,” and he claimed the company is now asking for “a MONOPOLY through socialist price controls,” according to a statement shared on his official account.

Nugent also invoked national political figures, tagging President Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz while asserting they “won’t let it happen.” The post fits into Nugent’s recent pattern of calling on Cruz in particular, following his earlier comments in which he went after Live Nation while lobbying Ted Cruz over ticketing and concert industry concerns.

The musician did not cite specific legislation or policy proposals in the message, but his remarks tap into ongoing public frustration about ticket fees and the market dominance of major promoters and ticketing platforms. Ticketing practices remain a frequent point of controversy for touring artists and concertgoers, and celebrity commentary can amplify the debate quickly online.
