Pearl Jam Member Agrees With Billie Eilish

Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam agrees with Billie Eilish on this one particular thing.
Recently, Eilish revealed that she thinks that three-hour long concerts are “psychotic.” In a new interview with NME, Gossard was asked if he agreed with Eilish’s sentiment.

“Well we’ve started to play a lot shorter gigs these days for our own well-being and longevity,” Gossard explained. “We’ve done the three-hour gigs many, many times and there is something fun about having accomplished that and there might even be something fun about witnessing it and lasting through it. But I don’t want to go to a three-hour gig in general.

“In two hours we can still create that atmosphere of a Pearl Jam show where there’s gonna be some things you know, there’s gonna be some things you don’t know, it’s gonna have some climaxes that hopefully feel the right shape. We all know what it’s like to go to a movie or read a book that should have been edited. We’re trying to be conscious of that.”

Popular singer Billie Eilish is not interested in making her concerts three-hour long as it’s psychotic to her. Well, does that mean that legendary bands including Bruce Springsteen and Guns N’ Roses are psychotic to her?

It is needless to mention that Taylor Swift is pushing past the 180-minute mark on her Eras Tour after Beyoncé also crossed the two-hour-plus pop rubicon on her 2023 Renaissance tour. It has been noted that in a pop-in chat with fans on the Stationhead app over the weekend Eilish was asked if her audience can expect that kind of Hollywood epic-length show from her on the upcoming Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. Her comments certainly stunned some people.

Billie Eilish’s comments were interesting to Pearl Jam fans

“I’m not doing a three-hour show, that’s literally psychotic,” Eilish said per fan recordings of the comments. “Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan. My favorite artist in the world, I’m not trying to hear them for three hours. That’s far too long”
