Nikki Sixx recently took a shot at the newly reunited Britpop band, Oasis. Sixx labeled the band as a ‘boy band’ while talking about their reunion.

Nikki Sixx takes a dig at Oasis

In a recent Q&A session with fans on X, someone asked the bassist, “Did you get Oasis tickets?” “Never really been into boy bands,” Sixx replied to the comment.

In late August, Oasis members Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher announced that they had buried the hatchet and would get back together. “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over,” the band said in a statement.

“It’s with some sadness and a great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People would write and say what they liked, but I could not continue working with Liam for a day longer,” Noel Gallagher also said on the band’s website.

British regulators are currently looking into Ticketmaster for how it sold Oasis tickets for their reunion tour. They are checking into the use of ‘dynamic pricing,’ which increases ticket prices depending on demand.

The CMA said it would investigate whether Ticketmaster violated consumer protection laws. They will check if Ticketmaster told buyers about dynamic pricing and its effects. They will also see if people were pressured into buying tickets at higher prices quickly.

Liam Gallagher recently talked about the ticket price controversy. “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change LF*CKING x,” he tweeted about the reunion.

One person said in their comment, “Didn’t expect them to rip the fans off as much as they have done. It’s genuinely a shame.” Liam responded by saying, “SHUTUP.”

Another fan also noted, “Everyone saying you both are doing it for the money are out of their minds it’s for the music, the fans, and each other.” “There’s lots of reasons for doing it family fans music biblical vibrations and curly wurlys as that’s what I’m getting paid in so all those money rumours are just not true,” the rocker said in his reply.

Oasis are set to play a string of huge shows in the UK and Ireland in July and August next year. The Gallagher brothers have also added a couple of more London shows on September 27 and 28, 2025. They will use a new ticket process for those who missed out last Saturday.
