Mystic Festival (PL) Still In Giving Mood Announces New Bands For 2026

Four new names and four new points on the amplitude of emotions awaiting you in Gdansk, Poland this June. We welcome onboard Psychonaut, vianova, Escuela Grind, and Return To Dust.

Psychonaut

World Maker, Psychonaut’s latest album, is a story of joy and loss, of birth and of death. Only music can capture such complex and contrary emotions. The Belgians have grounded their style in the extremes; they counterbalance darkness and heaviness with melodies and sophistication. Their psychedelic and progressive post-metal ensures a journey no one else could take you on.

vianova

Felix and Paul Vogelgesang, blood brothers and partners in crime, founded their band not to flow with the current, but to shock you with electric current. On their debut album released in September, Hit It!, the Berlin four-piece redefines metalcore. At times, it’s sharp and raging, then it switches to something verging on pop, always keeping you on your toes and keeping it fresh. There’s chaos here, there’s fun, but also an original artistic vision.

Escuela Grind

In this school, they teach more than just grind – you can also expect lectures on powerviolence, hardcore, death metal… The Massachusetts five-piece used to be a straight-A student, now they hold a professorship in brutality. Escuela Grind has been around for a decade, incredibly productive both in the studio and on stage. You’ll know it’s them from their uncompromising music, engaged lyrics – howled passionately by Katerina Economou – and from the grovel left in the wake of their performance.

Return To Dust

Do you remember that Los Angeles used to be the capital of hard rock? Maybe thanks to Return To Dust the glorious past of the city will come to be once more. The band was formed in 2022 and quickly drew attention to themselves with their music which marries the best traditions of the hard rock sound of the West Coast, from the gloomy songs of Alice In Chains to the bravado of glam. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2024, was a straightforward announcement who will come to dominate this music in the future.
