Must Have Album: In Our Own Way by EMBRZ

EMBRZ has released his sophomore album to the sweet beat of a pounding drum. Far and away one of the most complete dance/trance albums we’ve heard in some time. A smoothly mixed record that won’t make you toe-kick your couch on your flight to turn your speakers down when the song switches.

EMBRZ is the project of Jack Casey, a Dublin-born producer who makes flowing, emotionally charged dance music. Casey began playing and writing in his teens and grew up listening to rock acts such as Slipknot and the Stone Roses before becoming fascinated with electronic music after hearing Deadmau5. He began producing his own tracks in college and posting them online and soon gained a strong following. Official remixes of Ellie Goulding‘s “How Long Will I Love You,” the 1975‘s “Settle Down,” and Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Run Away with Me” further boosted his profile, and cemented his smooth yet driving approach. Casey began releasing original tracks in 2015, starting with the singles “Silent,” which featured vocalist Amy Rose; “Lights,” a collaboration with Pennybirdrabbit; and the Eleni Drake-sung “Home.” He followed it with the 2016 single “Breathe” and 2017’s “Higher” and “Heartlines,”.

This album is a blast for anyone who needs a soundtrack to get a lot done, including peeling back some more layers off the dancefloor.
