Vince Neil will be a judge on the TV show, ‘Banned,’ as he is now set to be rating the vocal talents of upcoming singers. A lot of people aren’t too sure about this since the backing track allegations came out, but the TV show is ready to move forward with Neil.
On Instagram, the TV show’s account stated: “Introducing our guest judge: Vince Neil. Neil is the lead vocalist for the iconic heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Tune in Saturday, May 13th, at 9:00 p.m. ET on AXS TV for the premiere of BANDED: The Musician Competition. We are honored to have Vince Neil as a part of BANDED.”
As you can imagine, fans of the show flooded the comment section with not-so-kind remarks.
One fan said: “Bring on the backing tracks. lol”
This, of course, is a nod to Motley Crue being “exposed” for the use of backing tracks via their live performances.
Another fan went on to say: “Good job nobody’s judging his singing! Cant sing for sh*t now!”
While we may be years removed from the prime of Vince Neil and his incredible vocal talents, one thing is for sure, and that’s that he knows what he’s talking about. Vince has been at the top before and judging him based off of his more elevated age and aging vocals just doesn’t make too much sense.
Can Mark McGuire still hit a baseball the same way he did years ago? Probably not, but I would imagine he would have solid advice from the experience that he has had to ensure that you’re hitting a baseball the correct way which could lead to having a great career in baseball.
We’ll keep an eye and ear out for Vince Neil on the show and wish him the best of luck.
