Largent worked at the highly-influential radio station KROQ from 1985 to 1992, where he went from intern to music director over the years. Largent then moved on to be the host of MTV’s 120 Minutes until 1995, and remained as a programmer for the show until 1999. Largent‘s extensive resume also included being an A&R representative at Island Def Jam Records, where he signed such acts as Sum 41 and Andrew WK.

Current 120 Minutes host Matt Pinfield paid respects to his predecessor on Twitter, saying “I am completely gutted. I loved Lewis very much. I am at a loss for words.” We wish Largent‘s family and friends all the best at this time.
