Lenny Kravitz has been announced as the villain in the upcoming James Bond game “007: First Light.” Confirmation of the singer’s role came during The Game Awards on Thursday (Dec. 11th).

Kravitz’s character, The Pirate King Bawma, shares a resemblance to the singer and is described as a “charismatic and unpredictable leader of a powerful black-market arms network.” A press release also says Bawma will “blur the line between ally and adversary in Bond’s journey.”

Commenting on his involvement in “007: First Light,” Kravitz said in a statement:

“The Bond franchise has such an incredible legacy in video games, so to step into it with a brand-new character like Bawma is amazing. He’s magnetic and unpredictable, there’s danger in him, but also heart and purpose. He’s not just a man with power; he is a man who has to fight for every inch of it. Bringing that energy into 007’s world felt incredible.”
