Is Oli Sykes New Linkin Park Singer?

Linkin Park has been teasing fans about their plans and there is speculation that the band may reunite with the original members. However, they might also bring in a new vocalist to replace Chester Bennington, who tragically passed away in 2017.

Linkin Park recently announced an event on September 5th which has got fans excited. The band has invited fans to “Be Part Of Something,” reserved for LPUnderground members on September 5th. Ahead of their official announcement, here are some of the names who could potentially replace Chester Bennington.

Potential vocalists for Linkin Park

You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi is the latest name thrown in the mix and some believe he could be in line to replace Chester Bennington. You Me At Six are set to embark on their farewell tour in 2025, and the timing of Franceschi stepping into the spotlight with Linkin Park seems perfect.

We previously reported that Saliva frontman Bobby Amaru and collaborator with Mike Shinoda on the Already Over Sessions, fueled speculation that he might be joining the band as he posted a cover of “Lying From You” on Instagram and TikTok the day before.

Though it’s not clear who will replace Bennington, it was also reported that the band are looking for a female vocalist for their reunion. In addition to this, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale sparked rumors by dropping a Linkin Park cover song.

Orgy vocalist Jay Gordon stated that he heard the California-based band were working with a female vocalist earlier this year, so a couple of other women (in addition to Hale) have been mentioned and Stand Atlantic’s Bonnie Fraser among them.

Meanwhile, German vocalist Jennifer Weist was one of the first women fans noted as a contender earlier this year after Gordon’s comments. She’s performed “A Place for My Head” live with Shinoda.

Recently, speculation also sparked about Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, who could be filling in for the late Chester Bennington.

Similar to Sum 41, Bad Omens started teasing their announcement around the same time Linkin Park did. Noah Sebastian’s vocals have been praised and he gained popularity massively. Fans believe he would be a great choice for the band.

Given the history between Linkin Park and Twenty One Pilots and how much of a fan of the band Chester Bennington was, many fans feel that Tyler Joseph could be their new singer. Some also argued that the zero symbol on Linkin Park’s countdown was a reference to the Twenty One Pilots logo.

Many fans believe that Oli Sykes from Bring Me the Horizon could potentially sing for Linkin Park. This is due to his impressive vocal range and ability to scream. Sykes was a good friend of Chester Bennington, had been a long-time fan of Linkin Park, and even performed “Crawling” at a tribute concert for Bennington.

Nothing has been confirmed yet but Linkin Park may not have a new singer at all, and they could even move ahead with Mike Shinoda as the band’s sole vocalist.
