I Promised The World have shared the second piece of their upcoming self-titled EP.

After setting the Internet alight with the announcement of their signing to Rise Records, the perfect home for a band of their ilk, and the release of the brilliantly nostalgic ‘Bliss In 7 Languages’, the band are showcasing more of what sits in their arsenal.
‘A Pure Expression’ showcases as many ebbs and flows as it does rips and tears, spanning from softly plucked strings and emotionally soaring refrains to throat-shredding howls and pitch-perfect breakdowns at the flick of the wrist. Channelling everyone from Emery and Hopesfall to Misery Signals and Poison The Well, it is as much a love letter to the past as it is a reminder of how such sounds can still sound fresh in the present.
Plus, the music video can only be viewed at 240p, which is probably the best cherry on top you’re going to get. There wasn’t any HD in 2005, you know?
Have a listen, it will do you good:
‘I Promised The World’ will be released on January 16 via Rise Records. Just to make sure that you are caught up properly, here is ‘Bliss in 7 Languages’.
