Heriot have released the deluxe edition of their debut album ‘Devoured By The Mouth of Hell’, and with it a stunning new track.

The new addition to the record is ‘Master of Deceit’, a track that sits slap bang in the middle of everything the band do so well. Discomforting one second, destructive the next, possessing the sort of riff that could split diamond, it further cements the band as one of the shiniest jewels in the UK’s metal crown. Effortlessly groovy, brilliantly heavy yet sensationally listenable, it has it all.
And if this is a wave goodbye to this era, then it does it in some style.
The band had this to say about the tune, explaining, “‘Master of Deceit’ is centred around the idea of the human experience being diminished through pressures of conformity and fear. It touches on how individualism is being lessened as we’re being pushed to disregard our own experiences, emotions and beliefs. The song poses the question of ‘how far are we willing to go before there’s no turning back?’”
The band are set to hit the road for some big shows with some big bands over the coming months. Here where you will be able to catch them.
