Breaking Benjamin recently signed to BMG and is back with their first new single in five years “Awaken”. If you’re looking for a groovy track with all the hallmarks of radio-friendly metal, this one’s for you. Dudes known how to write a hook fit for the mass and still fit in a pretty shreddy guitar solo.

“Working on this song has been something new and exciting for all of us I believe” said Breaking Benjamin guitarist Jasen Rauch. “We’ve been able to explore more of who we are traditionally, while at the same time push boundaries and try things we haven’t done in the past. Musically we’ve tried hard to stay true to what Breaking Benjamin is, but offer a new take as well.”
