Avenged Sevenfold Share Trippy Animated Video For ‘Cosmic’

Avenged Sevenfold have released a video for ‘Cosmic’, which figures the grim reaper in one of the trippiest scenarios you’ll ever see him.

The track of course derives from A7X’s eighth studio album ‘Life Is But A Dream…’ LP, which arrived last year and finished 13 on the US Billboard 200 Chart and 21st in the UK charts on its first week.

Among the many standout features on the record, the album’s composition makes use of the 78-piece San Bernardino Symphony, which is no more prominent than on seven-and-a-half minute ‘Cosmic’.

Speaking to Rock Sound about that aspect of the album, as part of our ‘The Album Story’ feature, Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows told us around the time of its release:

“We know what we want it to sound like but it’s not traditional.

“We want the bow to be sharper here, the mic to be further down the tuba because we want to hear the breath instead of the softer sound.

“Whatever it was, we were able to get with a team that allowed us to do that.”

Have a listen to the track via its brand-new, Chris Hopewell-directed video below.
