Fall Out Boy’s ‘Sugar, We’re Going Down’ Surpasses One Billion Streams On Spotify

Fall Out Boy’s classic track ‘Sugar, We’re Going Down’ has hit a huge new milestone, surpassing a billion streams on Spotify.

It’s the second song from the band to hit such heady heights, following on from their mega smash ‘Centuries’, which is currently sitting at just under 1.5 billion on the streaming service.

Hot on its heels to reaching the same level is ’Thnks Fr Th Mmrs’, which is currently at 963 million streams, whilst ‘My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)’ is at 825 million streams. ‘Dance Dance’ is well on its way too, with 610 million streams.

The track, which appears on the 2005 album ‘From Under The Cork Tree’, is currently certified 9x Platinum in the US and 2x Platinum in the UK. The iconic video has been watched 166 million times.

Basically, it is a smash hit worldwide.

The band released a deluxe edition of ‘From Under The Cork tree’ last year to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It came with remastered audio of the original album and 13 bonus tracks, including alternate versions of ‘I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy, And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me’ and ‘Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year’, plus live tracks originally recorded for BBC Radio sessions.

It also featured the band’s cover of the Gorilla Biscuits’ classic ‘Start Today’, which you can listen to below.
