The single follows the band’s return with ‘Left, Right, Goodnight!’ earlier this year, marking the beginning of a new era.

Speaking on the band’s future as an independent project, they shared the following:

“on the 7th june 2023, we refused a major label deal. some of you may know this, some of you may not. what matters is that this next era would not be possible without that event.

bears in trees only works when we have something to prove. it is a project built on the premise that there is something revolutionary in caring so much it makes you feel sick. that the scar is good, but the story it tells is so much better. “
