The Cure have returned with emotional single ‘Alone’, taken from their first album in 16 years.
Confirming the release of their long-awaited new album ‘Songs Of A Lost World’, the post-punk legends are set to drop the follow-up to 2008’s ‘4:13 Dream’ on November 01.
A sprawling emotional cut that spans nearly seven minutes, ‘Alone’ was one of the new tracks played on the band’s huge ‘Shows Of A Lost World’ tour that concluded in 2023.

Speaking on how The Cure have impacted his musical journey, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus shared:
“Robert Smith and The Cure probably inspired my songwriting the most… From the way that I write lyrics right through to melodies… I think music really connects people to who they are and when you find an artist or a band who you feel are speaking to who you are and your own experiences, that connection is always really strong.”
