Bring Me The Horizon have announced a delay to their forthcoming album, ‘POST HUMAN: NEX GEN’.
The original date had been set for September 15, but in a statement, frontman Oli Sykes has shared that the record won’t be arriving then as planned.
A new date hasn’t been given yet, but the band have said the album is still scheduled for the near future.
On the band’s socials, Sykes wrote:
“So I got some bad news… nex gen won’t be coming September 15th. unforeseen circumstances rendered us unable to complete the record to the standard we’d be happy with.
“I was hoping despite the setbacks we could pull it off in time for you guys but there’s still so many little details I want to be perfect and until it’s nailed I’m just not willing to give it to you guys.
“We can’t give a new date just yet but just know it’s close… & I know you guys have been so patient but you just gotta be a lil more.. 🙏 we did finish the artwork at least…”
“Sorry & thanks for understanding.”
The eagerly-awaited follow-up to 2020’s ‘POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR’, the new album was first announced at the band’s huge Download Festival set.
Sykes had recently spoken to Detroit’s WRIF radio station, revealing more details about the album, saying:
“It’s part of four EPs that we’re working on called the ‘Post Human’ series. They’ve all got their own particular sound, and this record’s definitely leaning more into the kind of bands I got obsessed with in my hardcore, post-hardcore, emo phase.”
