MC5’s WAYNE KRAMER Dead At 75

MC5 co-founder and guitarist Wayne Kramer has died at 75 years old. The news was broken on MC5‘s Instagram, who posted a simple tribute to the legendary guitarist. We wish Kramer‘s friends and family all the best at this time.

MC5 is best known for their 1969 track “Kick Out The Jams”, and has widely been regarded as one of the most influential rock acts of all time. Kramer was present throughout MC5‘s numerous reunions over the years (including the current one). In addition to his work with MC5, Kramer also put out a handful of solo albums between 1991 and 2002.

The rock world lost a real originator today, and I think we should all probably blast “Kick Out The Jams” at maximum volume tonight.
