One of the scene’s most celebrated live albums has reached a big milestone in the UK.
‘Life On The Murder Scene’ was released by My Chemical Romance back in 2006 made up of a live album, a live DVD and a documentary.
It perfectly encapsulated the raw energy and electricity that existed within the band at the time, summing everything up perfectly before they would explode on ‘The Black Parade’ later that year.
And 16 years on, the record finished 2022 by being certified Gold in the UK.
According to BPI, the album has hit the 100,000 sales mark, which is a HUGE achievement.
The record topped the Rock and Metal Chart in the UK and peaked at No.53 in the Official Albums Chart as well.
It joins a few other records at the Gold level, mainly the band’s greatest hits ‘May Death Never Stop You’ alongside their 2010 record ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’ and 2002’s ‘I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love’.
Alongside all of the live loveliness, the record also features two tracks that you can’t find anywhere else as well.
They are the demo of ‘Bury Me In Black’:
And ‘Desert Song’:
