As It Is are the next winners of our Rock Sound 25 Icon Award as we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Throughout 2024, we are celebrating 25 key artists from Rock Sound’s history with a brand new magazine cover and in-depth interview.

Few bands have had an effect on the UK alternative scene quite like As It Is has over the last decade. From perfecting the nation’s uniquely despondent pop-punk sound to pushing the limits and holding up the mirror to what makes this culture tick, their impact could be felt in the very foundations of this special community even when they were absent from it. Now returning with their classic line-up and with plenty of celebration planned, Patty Walters and Ben Biss look back over their incredible expedition as they are crowned Rock Sound 25 Icons.
