Linkin Park Member Tells Fans If He’s Done For Good

When Linkin Park announced their comeback in September, it was revealed that guitarist Brad Delson would step away from touring, but would still remain a member of the band with him instead focusing his creative efforts on writing music and doing work behind the scenes.

Now, in a recent interview with Guitar Player, Delson has opened up about what it is like to see Linkin Park from the perspective of the fans, with the band up on stage without him.

Speaking specifically about Linkin Park’s show on September 11 in Inglewood, California, he said:

“Yeah, it’s a different experience. It’s pretty cool in a way, ’cause I never got to see the show ever, in real time. If you’re onstage you don’t really get to see what’s going on. I remember being at the Forum and just watching it. We put a lot of love into the creative of the show.

“Even though I’m not onstage, I’m still intimately involved. I helped design the set list and the whole flow of the show, and every day we talk about the shows. It’s a huge labor of love.”

As for Alex Feder, who has taken his place on tour as the band’s guitarist, Delson said that Feder “is a friend, and he’s doing a great job. So it’s win-win.”

He said ‘anything is possible’ regarding an onstage return.
